Pamela Painter’s most recent story collection is The Long and Short of It. She is also coauthor of What If? Writing Exercises for Fiction Writers. Her stories have appeared in numerous journals and anthologies, the most recent being Flash Fiction Forward, and she has received three Pushcart Prizes. Painter lives in Boston and teaches in the Writing, Literature, and Publishing program at Emerson College.
