Martha Clarkson manages corporate workplace design in Seattle. Her poetry and fiction can be found in Seattle Review, Portland Review, Monkeybicycle, Elimae, and Nimrod. She is a recipient of the 2005 Washington State Poets William Stafford Prize, is a Pushcart nominee, and is listed under “Notable Stories” in the 2007 and 2009 editions of The Best American Nonrequired Reading. She uses a purple fly swatter at home.
