Stephen Dixon has three new books forthcoming from Melville House Publishing: two novels, Old Friends (2004) and Phone Rings (2005); and a collection, Selected Uncollected Stories (2005), which includes his story in this issue, “Dream.” Among his novels are Frog and Interstate, which were both finalists for the National Book Award. Other awards include two NEA fellowships, a Guggenheim fellowship, the O. Henry Prize, the Pushcart Prize, and the Paris Review John Train Humor Award.
