John Vanderslice holds degrees from the University of Virginia, George Mason University, and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Currently, he teaches writing at the University of Central Arkansas. His fiction has appeared widely in literary journals, including the Seattle Review, Sou’wester, South Carolina Review, Southern Humanities Review, and many more.
