precious little fictions in 500 words (or less).

About Us

Quick Fiction publishes stories and narrative prose poems of 500 words or less. Since 2001, when it was founded, the journal has released issues every spring fall. The Boston Globerecently ranked Quick Fiction #4 among 100 New England literary magazines. Boston’s Weekly Dig has called it “a journal filled with great work from writers who respect the rigid, potentially gorgeous contours of microfiction and have a great deal to say in very little time.”

Where can I get a copy?

The best way to get Quick Fiction is to subscribe. Issues do sell out and we cannot guarantee that your area bookstore carries it. Single issues and back issues are available here.
